Well I got some startling news today. Naomi from the chapel had twins this month. Twin boys. What a trip. Who would have thought? Lucky. Who's that lucky. I'm on a baby thing this month. Seems everyone is pregnant. Having baby dreams. My class apparently is hard. A lot of people have to retake it. Some have been in there before. I'm getting good ideas for my own classroom though from the prof. His powerpoints are good. I think I'm going to use powerpoint, have the class outline the chapter to go along with what we're learning that day. Makes it easier for them to listen. And he talks all about cells and organelles and membranes. I just love it. I'm anxious about work for some reason. Although Roger was glad to see me today. T said the day before had been bad. It's been going better than expected now that M's gone. I'm working 2 slots in a row this week and 3 next week. Bummer dude, but it has to be done. We're going to be working 2 weekend on 2 off for awhile. T is still waiting to hear from that job in Ca. She stayed late the other day to take a 35-page test they faxed to her (at work). I really think she should take care of that stuff at home. I think they called her today at work. Maybe she'll know something soon. I'll be promoted, perhaps. Hopefully she'll give the 2 weeks and train someone else. If she actually gets it. We're watiching Big O on cartoon network and it's getting weird. It started out just a little quirky and weird. Now I think it's on it's last episodes and it's getting fucked up. Scott got stuck in the ditch yesterday and Mom had to come bring us a chain to pull him out. We tried a rope I had in the truck, but we needed a chain. Weird what you don't have as newlyweds. We're still newlyweds, 2 years will be in May. 5 year dating anniversary in February. It's raining and I hope it doesn't flood here again. It shouldn't, it usually just floods in October.

Well yesterday was a late night. And I didn't do so well eating wise. I had a bowl of cereal, some cheese and crackers, soup, crackers and a pack of powdered donuts. I did go and work out, but there were too many people there and I didn't get the whole 45 mins on my machine. I'm already wanting some popcorn this morning. I need to eat cereal. I'm not going to the gym until after 12:30 or so. I don't have to go to work until late today because M won't get there until late too. She wasn't looking too good yesterday. I hope she can get through it. Mark will be there to help her tonight. Scott is back to his non-housecleaning ways. Totally pisses me off. Grr. Just want to beat him. I started some laundry this morning and am just killing time until ww comes on. Then I can go workout. I start back to school tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be good.

Well today was not so dramatic. This whole weekend has been wonderfully lazy. Me and Scott and the animals. My little dog feels like she needs to be in my lap at all times. Muy obnoxious. Scott helped my write my column for next Sunday. We went through the webquest on the da vinci code. And we went to church today, and to the library. All the little ladies at my church told me today that they liked my columns. What a thrill. At least someone is reading them. Yesterday we went to mom's and had some soup. It was lovely. Maybe someday I'll learn to make such wonderful soup. There's some good minor good movies on tonight. I'm primarily watching inside the actor's studio. Volcano is on, as well as Office Space and the Goodbye Girl. It's distracting to watch TV and write at the same time. Although the columns I've been writing rather purge me of my writing urges. I'm reading a book Scott recommended about being a liberal Christian. It's ok, but it's not that great. I don't know what he sees in it, but evidently he liked it a lot. He's really the reason I'm a skeptic today. I would have continued my life as a nice little church-go-er without questioning such things as literal interpretations of the Bible and such things. Da vinci code was weird like that. Anyhow, I'm off for now.

Well it's finally my dream. Sitting in bed writing in the blog. It's hard to do when the tv's on. It's lovely though. I don't care that my puter is super slow. I can type fast ;) I just love laptop, although this is the only one I've ever owned. But I plan to get a new one soon. As soon as dh's job is sure and we've paid off a lot of debts. Someday. Work is kind of a drag now. I had to leave my desk for awhile when T got mad and pitched a fit. We're not going to get the help we need while M is on maternity leave. We're going to have to train 2 part-timers instead of getting Mark fulltime. What a loser. Meghan isn't going to be any help at all. Like way at all. Mark is going to quit for another job if he doesn't get the hours he wants. And T was discussing rather loudly to her dh on the phone about another job. Not discreet at all. I don't know what to think about that. Like she wants everybody to know she's looking, which is unprofessional. And she's sending email from her work email, as I know she has a personal account. Totally unprofessional. It'd be great if she got the job and I got her job, but not so great with M gone and the helpers still to be trained. We all need positive attitude training. Positive results training. R just doesn't get it. We can't get the help we need because he was able to fill reporter positions. He's still afraid for his job, and should be, really.
I'm a real columnist now. Sunday was my 4th column. Scott's reading Da Vinci code so we can talk about it. He had fun in Dallas, he said. His mother didn't like my column and he told me that. What a hurtful thing. Everytime I open up to those people and try to relate, they slam me down. I'm just not going to try anymore. He can go visit alone from now on. No holidays, etc. If he hadn't told me that, I'd have gone on sending her my columns, just pleased as punch. I'm glad I know now what's up. Everything is judged judged judged. Blaggg. School starts Wednesday, and I'm kinda looking forward to it. KW has been emailing me some more. She sounds bummed, but her latest email was better. She's going to take a class and go to law school. That's what everybody's doing nowadays. And it's hard to get into. I don't know if ppl realize that or not. But good for them for trying. Bettering yourself is always a good goal.

Well I'm back to blogging. I hooked up my laptop to a wireless router and here we are. All hooked up and nothing to write. Watching American Wedding right now. Dear hubby is out of town visiting his parents. Life here is cold. Lily is driving me crazy. She sleeping here beside me for now. Jim is shaving his ass now. Hilarious. I've been back in touch with an old friend from high school. Living in LA, working at A&F. I've been writing columns for the paper. 2 regular opinion columns and two book reviews for the Sunday paper. Amanda broke up with her bf because he's a pothead. She has a date with a new guy tonight. Poor me, all by myself. He just ate shit, gross out. Way gross out.

11-11-03
Well I'm home from work and not tired at all. Scott is in bed trying to sleep because he has a real job and has to get up early in the morning. Not me, although I prolly will to go work out. I have the rest of the week off to go to Leslie's wedding. So I'm here with my wine and my cheesy poofs. And the little dog that follows me around everywhere. Scott's coming close to selling his first car. I just know it's going to be when I'm out of town and can't celebrate with him. Work is such a headache. Roger keeps piling stuff on us. I don't think he knows how demoralizing it is. If only I ran the world. I hate to be a negative person. I like to see the glass half-full. Tomorrow I'm going to bake some muffins to take with me for breakfast and snacks and wrap Leslie's present and pack. Not my favorite thing to do, but I'll do it. I went to lunch with Amanda, Nana and Mary today. It was nice, although I did volunteer to watch the children during my vacation at Thanksgiving. Although we prolly won't go to Arlington like we planned since Scott's got a job now.
Merecal said she might not come back to work after the baby is born, which will suck, but maybe she'll bring me with her. This place is just run so badly. Roger's afraid of his own job, so he doesn't stand up for us. Lily and the cat are fighting. Obnoxious. They have to save the most misbehavior for me. And Scott didn't bring the stupid trash can in, although he did get up and get dressed and took out the trash and was gone to get to work on time. He's such a great guy. I'm so proud of him, even if he did forget the trash can this time. I watched some of the crying game last night. I was quite the freak show. Interesting. It's been awhile since I've seen a penis on tv. I guess I'm off to bed now. My life really isn't all that fascinating. I could talk about our sex life. But I won't. Just about the crazy animals I'm about to have to put to bed.

Well today was a good day. I went to my Avon meeting and got inspired. Not to sell Avon necessarily, but to keep it up. The message was to have a goal and put it on the fridge or somewhere you can see it so that you are working hard toward it. It inspired me to go workout even though I'd talked myself out of it. Of course I proceeded to Whataburger, but I did workout and that and a sandwich was all I ate today. The cat's wondering what I'm doing. I weighed in at 235 today. I think that's less than the last time. I don't really remember. I have noticed that the new jeans I bought a size larger so they'd fit my fat waist are loose after being washed. Just enough positive feedback to keep doing what I'm doing, which is working out almost everyday. I've been pretty good about it. I went today and I'll go tomorrow, even though I'm going to lunch with Amanda and Nana and Mary. I got my eyebrows waxed within an inch of their lives and a manicure. It's good. I'm getting ready for Leslie's wedding. I'll leave Thursday, Scott will prolly come up late Friday night. Shoes, jewelry, I need panty hose. But I'm looking forward to it ;)

Well hubby has found a job and he's there now. I don't know how he's going to like selling cars. Hopefully he'll be good at it. He looks the part, all sexy in his suit. He's bummed that he'll have to work 12 hour days. I don't really know about that. Hopefully not. I really pray that he's good at it. Now I'm back playing the homemaker part. Which is not all bad. I get to do things my own way. It's a lot to fix what he did while he was doing it. But I'm making progress. I'm washing the sheets, doing more laundry, cleaned out the fridge, I'm going to do the dishes and take a nap since I got up at 6 this morning to make him breakfast. I should go to HEB on my way home and get some milk for his cereal in the morning. I found out that I can watch my own TV on the bikes at the Y today. So I guess I'll just go at the start of WW at 10:00 and ride until the second one is over at 12:00. Yeah right. In a perfect world. I was doing fine on the treadmills, but there's some kind of interference with my radio and I can't listen to music. And I get so bored. I need music. I get off early tonight and tomorrow night and work the weekend, then I'm off Monday and start my vacation Wednesday. Scoo's prolly not going to be able to go to Austin with me until Friday night, so we'll meet up there. What a bummer. I hate driving both cars all that way. We'll see. I don't know what I'm foinf to do with myself now that he's working. I'm so co-dependent. I miss him already ;) I'll get over it, I'm sure.

So I have stupid animals. A dog and a cat and neither of them are qualified geniuses. Yep, dumb as bricks. And aren't cats supposed to be smart? He's really not. Like he forgets that the dog chases him down sometimes. Mind you, the dog is little and the cat is humongus, but the cat is at a disadvantage because he is missing his front claws. But sometimes the dog sits quietly and sleeps by him and plays nice. But he has to remember that some other times the dog is just a mean-ass bitch. Like her mama.
Kissable hubby had a job interview today. Hopefully he'll get it. We surely need the money. And I'm tired of him being a bum. It was nice having him home for a while. But it's sad when you like to go to work because he's not there ;) Bwahahahaha. Anyhow, I hope he gets it. Well I'm hoping he'll get off his ass, get some ambition and go to school. I have a dream of us teaching at the same high school. Him teaching history or government and me teaching biology. Having the same problems and the same schedule. Sounds good, huh? But alas. And he'd be such a good teacher too.
I try never to read books because one I start reading, I can't stop until I finish the book or series or whatever. So I started Crystal Singer by Anne McCaffrey and read it and the sequel in 2 days. Good thing I don't have to be at work until 3. And I'm a fast reader. But I really enjoyed the books and I think there's a 3rd. Wa hoo. It has been awhile since I've found something good to read. I have a tendency just to re read things I liked before. It's not a good habit. I'm in an email book group and they have some good suggestions. Bad ones too, but some good ones.
Last night at work was killer. I didn't get home until 12:30. Stupid universal desk, stupid basketball game, stupid NFL Monday night football. All Sunday/Monday sports should be played during the day. And we've an added job, the TV guide tab. That's going to go over real well when my supervisor gets back. She may just quit over that one. I think we're all looking for better jobs. When a boss says you'll get a raise every 6 months, get it in writing. I've had one raise in more than 1.5 years. But it's not a bad job. I do see why men make more money than women. They ask for it. They demand it. I'm afraid that if I ask for a raise, I'll get fired. He's made it clear we're expendable. Kinda sucks. But the hours are generally good and I'm able to go to school. Take the good with the bad, I guess, and I like the ppl there since Mean, nasty witch moved off. Halleluia. Oh well. Hopefully Scoo will get this job and we'll be ahead of the game again. I hate dipping into my savings, especially since I've been paying off his debts since we've gotten married. And the kicker is that his parents aren't helping us out because he hasn't told them he lost his job. I did threaten to tell his mother that he lost it the last time he pitched a fit about putting in applications. That's really the only hold I have on him. "I'll tell your mother" Pitiful. On that I'm signing off.

Austin is not here
Austin has a great newspaper
Austin has a lot of different kinds of people, shopping places and things to do
Austin has Scoo's sister and Laura B and mayhaps Leslie+Neil and Amanda
Austin has more liberal views
Austin has more younger people
Austin may have more people like us
Austin is the same amount of time between each set of parents
Austin has a lot of history
Austin is a center of creativity
Austin will have more jobs

A friend that I've known for a large part of my life started IM'ing me again. She's gone in and out for the past few years. She just left her husband and has decided that she's submissive. Of course I knew when she told me she got married that it was a bad idea and an even worse idea when she got pregnant. She grew up white trash, and she had such potential to pull herself out of it. But she married beneath her and married dumber, and had a baby. It's kind of sad. I've been praying for God to send me friends, but He keeps sending me people I have no interest in being friends with. I need someone stable who cares about what's happening to me. I'll be surprised if any of these people can tell you where I work or my kissable husband's name. I'm going to Austin in Nov. to be in a friend's wedding. She's a real friend. Only she's far away. It's sad that neither one of us has met people we have things in common with here. I don't think we're incredible abnormal. It's one reason we're looking toward Austin. Even if UT is there. More liberal, more abnormal, more political. Anyone our age here wants to go out and get drunk every weekend.
This weekend was a big one for us. We went to see Rocky Horror Picture Show at the new Entertainment Center. It was a freak show. Just like college ;) We'd seen it before, but these kids here were so young. I think around junior high. I insisted that I go, but I should have stayed home. Kissable hubby had a good time.
Anyhow, crazy BDSM friend said she lost 60 lbs in a month. That's almost too incredible to believe. Leave my husband and lose 60 lbs? It is worth it? Hmmmm.

This is my first blog entry. I'm kinda excited. My totally kissable husband helped me set it up. Today was a busy day. We went to church, then to a relative's birthday party. We sat by some screamin' kids in church today. It reaffirmed our conviction that we should not have kids. Although when I brought it up at the party, I was rebuffed nastily by an aunt. No wonder childless couples are so cynical. I"m sure if we really decide to remain childless, that's not the end or even the worst of it. Of course we haven't decided for sure yet. We've only been married a year and a half. We're still young. But I really like the idea that I can choose to have children and choose not to have children. And that my husband will support me whichever decision we make. Because, you know, he won't be the primary caregiver. He can't even take care of himself. But he is awfully kissable. Totally worth it.
The Matrix is on now. A much better movie than its sequel. Although I thought X-Men II was really good, maybe even better than the first. Two Towers wasn't that great, but I'm really looking forward to Return of the King.
I just finished a book on being a public school parent. I'm working on getting my teaching certification, so I thought it was interesting to see things from the other point of view. Pretty good book. Straightforward. Before that I started (but didn't finish) a book on the creative class in America. Fascinating subject. Talks about trends and how and why your career is not 'your daddy's career.' Fascinating. Hopefully when I get certified we'll move to the Austin area.
My little dog came to see me. I think that's it for today. Maybe I'll write tomorrow when I'm bored at work.
