Well I'm home from work and not tired at all. Scott is in bed trying to sleep because he has a real job and has to get up early in the morning. Not me, although I prolly will to go work out. I have the rest of the week off to go to Leslie's wedding. So I'm here with my wine and my cheesy poofs. And the little dog that follows me around everywhere. Scott's coming close to selling his first car. I just know it's going to be when I'm out of town and can't celebrate with him. Work is such a headache. Roger keeps piling stuff on us. I don't think he knows how demoralizing it is. If only I ran the world. I hate to be a negative person. I like to see the glass half-full. Tomorrow I'm going to bake some muffins to take with me for breakfast and snacks and wrap Leslie's present and pack. Not my favorite thing to do, but I'll do it. I went to lunch with Amanda, Nana and Mary today. It was nice, although I did volunteer to watch the children during my vacation at Thanksgiving. Although we prolly won't go to Arlington like we planned since Scott's got a job now.
Merecal said she might not come back to work after the baby is born, which will suck, but maybe she'll bring me with her. This place is just run so badly. Roger's afraid of his own job, so he doesn't stand up for us. Lily and the cat are fighting. Obnoxious. They have to save the most misbehavior for me. And Scott didn't bring the stupid trash can in, although he did get up and get dressed and took out the trash and was gone to get to work on time. He's such a great guy. I'm so proud of him, even if he did forget the trash can this time. I watched some of the crying game last night. I was quite the freak show. Interesting. It's been awhile since I've seen a penis on tv. I guess I'm off to bed now. My life really isn't all that fascinating. I could talk about our sex life. But I won't. Just about the crazy animals I'm about to have to put to bed.

Well today was a good day. I went to my Avon meeting and got inspired. Not to sell Avon necessarily, but to keep it up. The message was to have a goal and put it on the fridge or somewhere you can see it so that you are working hard toward it. It inspired me to go workout even though I'd talked myself out of it. Of course I proceeded to Whataburger, but I did workout and that and a sandwich was all I ate today. The cat's wondering what I'm doing. I weighed in at 235 today. I think that's less than the last time. I don't really remember. I have noticed that the new jeans I bought a size larger so they'd fit my fat waist are loose after being washed. Just enough positive feedback to keep doing what I'm doing, which is working out almost everyday. I've been pretty good about it. I went today and I'll go tomorrow, even though I'm going to lunch with Amanda and Nana and Mary. I got my eyebrows waxed within an inch of their lives and a manicure. It's good. I'm getting ready for Leslie's wedding. I'll leave Thursday, Scott will prolly come up late Friday night. Shoes, jewelry, I need panty hose. But I'm looking forward to it ;)

Well hubby has found a job and he's there now. I don't know how he's going to like selling cars. Hopefully he'll be good at it. He looks the part, all sexy in his suit. He's bummed that he'll have to work 12 hour days. I don't really know about that. Hopefully not. I really pray that he's good at it. Now I'm back playing the homemaker part. Which is not all bad. I get to do things my own way. It's a lot to fix what he did while he was doing it. But I'm making progress. I'm washing the sheets, doing more laundry, cleaned out the fridge, I'm going to do the dishes and take a nap since I got up at 6 this morning to make him breakfast. I should go to HEB on my way home and get some milk for his cereal in the morning. I found out that I can watch my own TV on the bikes at the Y today. So I guess I'll just go at the start of WW at 10:00 and ride until the second one is over at 12:00. Yeah right. In a perfect world. I was doing fine on the treadmills, but there's some kind of interference with my radio and I can't listen to music. And I get so bored. I need music. I get off early tonight and tomorrow night and work the weekend, then I'm off Monday and start my vacation Wednesday. Scoo's prolly not going to be able to go to Austin with me until Friday night, so we'll meet up there. What a bummer. I hate driving both cars all that way. We'll see. I don't know what I'm foinf to do with myself now that he's working. I'm so co-dependent. I miss him already ;) I'll get over it, I'm sure.

So I have stupid animals. A dog and a cat and neither of them are qualified geniuses. Yep, dumb as bricks. And aren't cats supposed to be smart? He's really not. Like he forgets that the dog chases him down sometimes. Mind you, the dog is little and the cat is humongus, but the cat is at a disadvantage because he is missing his front claws. But sometimes the dog sits quietly and sleeps by him and plays nice. But he has to remember that some other times the dog is just a mean-ass bitch. Like her mama.
Kissable hubby had a job interview today. Hopefully he'll get it. We surely need the money. And I'm tired of him being a bum. It was nice having him home for a while. But it's sad when you like to go to work because he's not there ;) Bwahahahaha. Anyhow, I hope he gets it. Well I'm hoping he'll get off his ass, get some ambition and go to school. I have a dream of us teaching at the same high school. Him teaching history or government and me teaching biology. Having the same problems and the same schedule. Sounds good, huh? But alas. And he'd be such a good teacher too.
I try never to read books because one I start reading, I can't stop until I finish the book or series or whatever. So I started Crystal Singer by Anne McCaffrey and read it and the sequel in 2 days. Good thing I don't have to be at work until 3. And I'm a fast reader. But I really enjoyed the books and I think there's a 3rd. Wa hoo. It has been awhile since I've found something good to read. I have a tendency just to re read things I liked before. It's not a good habit. I'm in an email book group and they have some good suggestions. Bad ones too, but some good ones.
Last night at work was killer. I didn't get home until 12:30. Stupid universal desk, stupid basketball game, stupid NFL Monday night football. All Sunday/Monday sports should be played during the day. And we've an added job, the TV guide tab. That's going to go over real well when my supervisor gets back. She may just quit over that one. I think we're all looking for better jobs. When a boss says you'll get a raise every 6 months, get it in writing. I've had one raise in more than 1.5 years. But it's not a bad job. I do see why men make more money than women. They ask for it. They demand it. I'm afraid that if I ask for a raise, I'll get fired. He's made it clear we're expendable. Kinda sucks. But the hours are generally good and I'm able to go to school. Take the good with the bad, I guess, and I like the ppl there since Mean, nasty witch moved off. Halleluia. Oh well. Hopefully Scoo will get this job and we'll be ahead of the game again. I hate dipping into my savings, especially since I've been paying off his debts since we've gotten married. And the kicker is that his parents aren't helping us out because he hasn't told them he lost his job. I did threaten to tell his mother that he lost it the last time he pitched a fit about putting in applications. That's really the only hold I have on him. "I'll tell your mother" Pitiful. On that I'm signing off.

Austin is not here
Austin has a great newspaper
Austin has a lot of different kinds of people, shopping places and things to do
Austin has Scoo's sister and Laura B and mayhaps Leslie+Neil and Amanda
Austin has more liberal views
Austin has more younger people
Austin may have more people like us
Austin is the same amount of time between each set of parents
Austin has a lot of history
Austin is a center of creativity
Austin will have more jobs

A friend that I've known for a large part of my life started IM'ing me again. She's gone in and out for the past few years. She just left her husband and has decided that she's submissive. Of course I knew when she told me she got married that it was a bad idea and an even worse idea when she got pregnant. She grew up white trash, and she had such potential to pull herself out of it. But she married beneath her and married dumber, and had a baby. It's kind of sad. I've been praying for God to send me friends, but He keeps sending me people I have no interest in being friends with. I need someone stable who cares about what's happening to me. I'll be surprised if any of these people can tell you where I work or my kissable husband's name. I'm going to Austin in Nov. to be in a friend's wedding. She's a real friend. Only she's far away. It's sad that neither one of us has met people we have things in common with here. I don't think we're incredible abnormal. It's one reason we're looking toward Austin. Even if UT is there. More liberal, more abnormal, more political. Anyone our age here wants to go out and get drunk every weekend.
This weekend was a big one for us. We went to see Rocky Horror Picture Show at the new Entertainment Center. It was a freak show. Just like college ;) We'd seen it before, but these kids here were so young. I think around junior high. I insisted that I go, but I should have stayed home. Kissable hubby had a good time.
Anyhow, crazy BDSM friend said she lost 60 lbs in a month. That's almost too incredible to believe. Leave my husband and lose 60 lbs? It is worth it? Hmmmm.

This is my first blog entry. I'm kinda excited. My totally kissable husband helped me set it up. Today was a busy day. We went to church, then to a relative's birthday party. We sat by some screamin' kids in church today. It reaffirmed our conviction that we should not have kids. Although when I brought it up at the party, I was rebuffed nastily by an aunt. No wonder childless couples are so cynical. I"m sure if we really decide to remain childless, that's not the end or even the worst of it. Of course we haven't decided for sure yet. We've only been married a year and a half. We're still young. But I really like the idea that I can choose to have children and choose not to have children. And that my husband will support me whichever decision we make. Because, you know, he won't be the primary caregiver. He can't even take care of himself. But he is awfully kissable. Totally worth it.
The Matrix is on now. A much better movie than its sequel. Although I thought X-Men II was really good, maybe even better than the first. Two Towers wasn't that great, but I'm really looking forward to Return of the King.
I just finished a book on being a public school parent. I'm working on getting my teaching certification, so I thought it was interesting to see things from the other point of view. Pretty good book. Straightforward. Before that I started (but didn't finish) a book on the creative class in America. Fascinating subject. Talks about trends and how and why your career is not 'your daddy's career.' Fascinating. Hopefully when I get certified we'll move to the Austin area.
My little dog came to see me. I think that's it for today. Maybe I'll write tomorrow when I'm bored at work.
